2017 NCC Fair Queen Contest

Rules & Guidelines

  1. Each contestant must be at least 16 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on August 8th 2017, the first day of the 2017 Iowa State Fair.
  2. Contestants must never have been married or have had children.
  3. The National Cattle Congress Fair Queen MUST reside in one of the following counties:
  • Black Hawk
  • Benton
  • Bremer
  • Buchanan
  • Butler
  • Grundy
  • Tama
  1. The National Cattle Congress Queen MUST participate in the 2017 Iowa State Fair Queen Competition in Des Moines in August 2017. If for any reason the NCC Queen cannot compete, her title will be forfeited and the NCC Princess will be considered for the selection. The National Cattle Congress Fair Queen MUST also be active and available for local parades, event and all 4 days of the 107th National Cattle Congress Fair to be held September 14th – 17th
  2. Professional models that have an ongoing employment in which modeling is your primary job are not eligible to compete in the NCC Fair Queen Contest.
  3. It is the sole responsibility of the NCC Queen to make her own arrangements for transportation to and from the Iowa State Fair Competition in Des Moines. The crowned National Cattle Congress Fair Queen will be a guest of the Iowa State Fair from August 8th – 12th The Queen’s room, meals and admission fees to the 2017 Iowa State Fair are provided.
  4. Judging will be based on the following categories: Personality, Attitude, Appearance, and Awareness, Leadership and Citizenship, Charm and Poise. Appropriate dress for all Fairs, parades, events and interviews will be required and covered in the Welcome Letter following this application.
  5. Any contestant, whom has already competed at any State Fair Final, may not compete again.
